Do let his spiky look fool you, this little fellow is the perfect quilt to cuddle up in. By request and growing in popularity is my latest forest friend the Hedgehog Quilt. A simple pattern with large pieces.
This pattern as usual comes with 3 sizes 36x42 inches perfect for baby's crib, and additional instructions for the smaller 24x28 and 48x56. That is the image size, so you can easily add borders for anything in between, or even to bring it up to a full or twin size quilt.
The Counted Quilts process is:
Step 1 - Using a rotary cutter cut your fabric into strips.
Step 2 - Cross cut those strips into varying length pieces, and label alphabetically.
Step 3 - Using only straight 1/4 inch seams sew the quilt top together following a full page labeled color image of the quilt top
The shaping is gone with half square triangles sewn in the quick corner method, which is cutting the pieces as squares, drawing a line corner to corner, placing that square on top of the appropriate piece, and sewing down the drawn line. You will then trim the excess and press open the triangle. (see youtube videos for further explanations)
You will be downloading 2 files, the 4 page pattern with 2 additional sizing sheets, and the cover page. Then printing the desired pages. Pattern is in color and I highly recommend you print in color.
