This is a new Lion Baby Quilt designed to be very simple and cute, perfect for any baby boy or baby girl's safari themed room.
The pattern comes in 3 sizes. The main instruction is for 36x36, with additional 24x24 and 48x48. These measurements are for the image only. The sample quilt shown is a 24x24 Lion with a 2 inch blue border, and a 6 inch safari print border, resulting in a 40x40 quilt perfect for baby.
The pattern is designed in a stripped and pieced method. Traditional piecing, not paper piecing or applique.
The pattern using charts, first how many strips to cut for each color, then how many pieces to cut from those strips. These are each alphabetically labeled. The top is then assembled piece by piece, row by row, following a full page color alphabetically labeled image of the Lion.
This a great pattern for beginning quilters. All straight cutting, all straight seams. If you can sew a true 1/4 inch seam you can put this Lion together.
