From wall to lap size you have so many options. I feel like this is a very versatile design. Use the rich batik colors to make the Manta for a teen or adult lap quilt. Find some cute baby ocean creature fabric to make an adorable baby blanket. The smallest size allows you to combine it with other sea creatures in an underwater themed room as a larger quilt, or as wall decor.

The pattern first uses a chart with the given number of strips to be cut for each color. Second, a set of charts with the given lengths of the alphabetically labeled pieces to be cut from those strips. The shaping is done with quick corner triangles, or the “snowball method” where a sew line is drawn corner to corner on a square and place on top of another square or rectangle. Once those squares are marked you following a full page labeled picture of the quilt top assembling row by row.
