Just in time for Christmas! A Nativity quilt pattern. Made in my usual stripped and pieced method. This a great throw quilt to add to your Christmas décor. A useful reminder of the reason for the season.
The pattern comes in my 3 standard sizes: Main instruction for 36x42 image, with additional 24x28 and 48x56. Sample shown in 48x56 backed with plush minky fabric.
Made in the Counted Quilts method. Step 1 cut strips. Step 2 cut rectangle pieces from those strips. Shaping is done with quick corner half square triangles, and a few half rectangle triangles. Step 3 follow a full page labeled color diagram of the image. There is a YouTube video on my channel demonstrating how to make the half-rectangle triangles.
This pattern is marked as intermediate instead of beginner because of the half rectangle triangles used to make the star. Otherwise it is still a very simple quilt pattern to put together. Still all straight cutting and all straight seams.
