This Panda Quilt was made using batiks which makes a striking wall hanging.
3 sizes: Crib 36"x42", with additional 24"x28" and 48"x56". Large size makes a great throw. If you add borders you can put it on a twin bed.
Skill Level: Beginner. Stripped and Pieced method.
The pattern first uses a chart with the given number of strips to be cut for each color. Second, it has a set of charts with piece lengths to be cut and labeled from those strips. The shaping is done with quick corner triangles, or the “snowball method” where a sew line is drawn corner to corner on a square and place on top of another square or rectangle. Once those squares are marked you follow a full page color labeled image of the quilt, assembling piece by piece, row by row.

The black and white bear allows you to put any color in the background, making it very gender neutral. So if they want to be surprised or you are a grandmother stocking up for future little ones this could be the pattern for you.
