Officer Teddy reporting for duty! This Police Quilt is another fun pattern for my growing rescue vehicle set, which are all sold separately can make a fun combination quilt. This pattern has lots of possibilities with the multiple sizes. Make it as the traditional quilt for a little boy who loves police cars. Make it as a thank you, in a small wall decor, or large lap quilts. If you leave the teddy ears off and change the head color it easily becomes a person instead of officer.
Skill Level: Beginner The pattern lists fabric yardage, then uses tables to show the number of strips to cut and the number of pieces to cut from those strips. The entire top is then sewn using straight 1/4" seams. The shaping is done with quick corner triangles also called the snowball method. There are some instructional videos on youtube. Just search Counted Quilts. Once those squares are marked you will follow a full page color image of the quit top alphabetically labeled as you assemble the top row by row.
You can have a lot of fun with the quilting on this one. I did many of the accent lines, such as the words STOP and Police, along with the rays of the sun, using quilting.
Selecting Fabrics: Due to the fact that the pattern pieces may be sewn both horizontally and vertically to make the picture we recommend using non-directional fabric.
Product: You are purchasing a 6 page color PDF file of the pattern and its cover to be downloaded and printed by you.
