These speedy little Race Cars are perfect for any baby boy, or big brother.
My mother was binding the crib size at my sister's house and her toddler snatched it up any time she put it down. So we made a twin size for his bed. He chose different colors, and his mom said the more flames the better, so we did our best to accommodate them.
3 sizes: Crib 36"x42", with additional wall 24"x28" and lap 48"x56".
Add border to the Lap size to make it a twin. The last picture is the twin we made for my nephew. It has 6 inches of flame fabric all the way around at his request. Then 6 inch of race cars added to the top and bottom for the need length, and we put checker fabric around the edge just for fun. There is so much fun car fabric out there to give it just the right touch.
Skill Level: Beginner
The pattern first uses a chart with the given number of strips to be cut for each color. Second, it has a set of charts with piece lengths to be cut and labeled from those strips. Next you sew following a full page labeled picture of the quilt top, assembly the top row by row.
The shaping is done with quick corner triangles, or the “snowball method” where a sew line is drawn corner to corner on a square and place on top of another square or rectangle.
PDF format: You are ordering a 6 page color PDF format quilt pattern to be downloaded payment has been received and then printed by you.
