I have had a request for a school bus quilt pattern. Make it for yourself after years of patiently driving kids to school, or make it as a thank you for those who did it for you.
This quilt is made in a stripped and pieced method, using quick corner half square triangles for shaping.
Step 1 Rotary cut strips of varying sizes for each color
Step 2 Cross cut those sets of strips into varying length pieces that you will label alphabetically.
Step 3 Sew the top following a full page, labeled, color image. You will assemble row by row until the top is complete.
All Straight cutting, all straight sewing, a good pattern for beginning sewers.
The cross walk sign person and other embellishments are optional, to be added after the top is complete. Image two shows the quilt top with no embellishments.
The pattern comes with 3 sizes. Main instruction is for the 36x42 inches, but there are 2 additional pages, first scaling the quilt down to a 24x28, then a larger 48x56 which makes a great lap quilt or center for a larger bed.
This is a digital download, so will need to be able to print a 6 page color PDF format file once payment is complete.
