This Soccer Bear quilt top pattern was inspired by my nephew, who is quite the soccer star. I had a fun time with borders on this one, there is so much sport fabric out there. The extra space in the green fabric is a perfect place to add some personalization to the quilt, like their name or number. Change the colors to support your favorite team. See also my Soccer Girl pattern which just has a few minor differences.

* 3 sizes: main instruction is for a crib size 36"x42", but the pattern also includes measurements for a large 48"x56" or small 24"x28"
Show your team spirit by making one of these quilts as a large stadium blanket, or a small baby blanket. Add your team colors or logo fabric for a border and turn the lap size into twin size quilt.

The pattern lists fabric yardage, then uses charts to show the number of strips to cut, and the number of pieces to cut from those strips. The entire top is then sewn using straight 1/4" seams. The shaping is done with quick corner, also known as trim and flip triangles.
